Who inspires you? These creative writing quotes hope to answer that very question!

As a high school English teacher, I am constantly hearing words, phrases, and even creative writing quotes that impress and motivate me to use them myself, and even better, share them with my students.

Every week, I give my students ten vocabulary words that I have heard or used in previous conversations or other places.

What's amazing is that I also tend to hear them in conversation or read them in random places throughout the very week that I give them out. This really lends support to the idea that once you hear or see something, it seems to shows up all that much more often.

I find it fascinating that one word or phrase can be so influential and serve such a purpose in someone's life, and for that matter, in someone's writing. That's why creative writing quotes are so powerful.

They may be just that one word or phrase, but if they ever amount to more, you will have been given a great gift. The gift of thought and epiphanies of how your writing will prosper when you take another author's revelations into consideration in your writing.

A quote may be just one line that you overhear someone saying. It may be the newspaper headline that you read that day. It may even be an entire paragraph in your favorite author's book.

Whatever quote it is that motivates you, inspires you, impresses you, and causes you to seize the day and write like you've never written before -- that is the quote that matters. Use it to fulfill your writing purpose.

You yourself are potentially full of quotes and sayings that you aren't even aware of! They may not be yours, but remember that they don't have to be yours to be inspired by you!

You have your own sense of how they matter, and how they serve the purpose that you are trying to get across in your writing or help someone else find in their own writing.
