The entries were exciting to read and very well-written, but the top three winners are posted below. Check back toward the end of November when the Thanksgiving contest winners are posted. Be sure to check out each week's E-zine as a reminder of future contests, so you're sure to have a chance to enter and win!

The Halloween Writing Contest rules were to write a Halloween tale in any genre, as long as the tale only consisted of thirty-one words -- no more, no less. This challenge brought on many a try, but the three winners are posted below. The winning entry comes with a title, which does not count against his thirty-one words. Enjoy the creativity that each of these Halloween short stories exudes!

MOVIEPOCALYSE! -- First Place
by Robert Campbell -- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

"Zap! Every horror movie ever made is struck by lightning! According to the bizarre physics of horror, infamous villains are freed from their celluloid prisons! It's the end of the world!"

Second Place
by Kris Towers -- Sacramento, California

"One night, a vampire, werewolf, and zombie were discussing what a hybrid between their species would be called. For a vampire/zombie hybrid, the vampire submitted the term "zompire" for approval."

Third Place
by Shaun Taylor -- Frankfort, Kentucky

"The monstrous behemoth plunged ahead for the puny school kids and scarfed them down its throat like Children McNuggets! It roared in triumph over its latest meal! Bwa ha ha ha!"

Hope to see your work here soon enough as you enter our new Writer's Block Help E-zine Writing Contests!
