How to Write Creatively - Authors' Perspectives

The impact that an author can make on you can be powerful in teaching you how to write creatively. The concepts that we struggle with in learning how to write creatively seem to come so easy for these authors. They make the craft of writing look so simple and fascinating. We want to write like they do.

So, how do we go about it? How do we elicit authors' advice, and take the steps necessary in order to write as eloquently as our writing inspirations do?

Depending on the type of writing you want to do, you might find your inspiration from a writer of memoirs, and find yourself learning just how to write a memoir of your own. Maybe a young adult author such as Patrick Jones will be your muse, or Neal Shusterman, or even a novelist of historical and contemporary romances and thrillers will teach you some novel writing tips.

There are so many steps to take in order to find your own writing path and learn how to develop characters all your own. Using other authors as your guides, and studying what and who came before you, will make the discovery of your writing path all that much more easy and accessible.

So, peruse the author interviews and learn how to share your writing gift with readers of your very own. Just because you don't want to write a memoir, doesn't mean that you should skip over that interview. Authors are authors, no matter what they write. Chances are that they have methods, ideas, techniques, and inspirational tools that will be helpful no matter what genre you feel particularly suits your style.

They all had to find their own path when they started, so who better to help you find yours?
