Make sure you take note of how to do perspective writing.

Perspective writing is stimulating on numerous levels. You can write from a different character's perspective, or even from the perspective of a different emotion, mood, or standpoint.

Knowing how to write either creatively or academically can take much from perspective writing. A specific writing point of view can capture the essence of what you know, how you know it, how you see it, and flip it all around until you can engage yourself in seeing how the other side, or the other person, sees it. Learning how to write a headline can be helpful with this, as headlines tend to show certain perspectives of stories so you know what the articles that follows will generally be about.

See the world as you want others to see it. Gain new perspective as you learn from others. Do interviews to hear what different types of people have to say about issues that matter to you, or even issues that do not matter so much to you. You may find that in learning new ideas, you will attain new levels of understanding.

Conceptual understanding is beneficial in writing points of view and perspectives. Also, being able to see these concepts from both literal and figurative viewpoints is key. Taking a vested interest in realistic versus abstract thought can make for the most interesting, provocative writing.

Try writing from the perspective of a proper noun. How would the Eiffel Tower feel if France decided to take it back and remove it from the New York harbor that has become its home? This is a realistic item that is being written about from an abstract perspective. The Eiffel Tower most certainly does not have true emotions or feelings, so personification is being added into the mix in order to guide the perspective writing in the appropriate direction.

If you would like to try your hand at writing from the perspective of a certain character, you may find it helpful to read an example on writing point of view.

You may also find it beneficial to try a creative writing prompt that you can change around of your own volition to find the re-telling that you consider most appropriate. Triple decker perspective writing can help you find a worthwhile balance of stimulating creative writing prompts and engaging viewpoints.
